On June 6, 1944, Allied troops landed on the beaches of Normandy, France.

The D-Day offensive was planned for two years and designed to push the Nazis back to Germany.

Though hardly anything went as planned that day, the Allied troops improvised and persevered.

In the months before the D-Day invasion, tens of thousands of American and Canadian troops occupied temporary staging areas across southern England. By early June, more than two million Americans soldiers and another 250,000 Canadian troops arrived in England to join the British  in preparation for the Normandy invasion.

Come enjoy a concert and remember these brave soldiers who altered the course of history to save the free world.
