Walk in the Park - Path Thru History

Lake George Battlefield Park : 34 Fort George Road, Lake George, NY  12845

10:30 AM - 12:00 PM

Join us for a "Walk in the Park" with a trained docent who will share with you the history of the park and show you the many archaeological features that remain in the park.  These include two forts, quarries, lime kilns and stone foundations as well as the burial monument of the oldest governmentally recognized Four Unknown American Soldiers.  The walk is about one and one-half hour at a slow pace.  While most of the walk is on a paved road, we will go off that road into several sites.  Closed shoes are required and visitors are strongly recommended to take precautions against ticks.  We are limited to 15 people.  Masks and social distancing will be enforced for everyone's safety.  Please meet at the Pavilion in the Park at 10:30 AM.

Walk is free; there is an entrance fee for the park.

Pre-registration is required - please contact fortgeorgealliance@gmail.com or 518-428-5501.
