Thank you to Nola King and Nancy Sayles for co-chairing the Silent Auction this year. Saturday, September 2nd Bake Sale: 9:00am – 1:00pm (To be held in Ostertag Hall) Donated baked goods / goodies will be sold! Get your mixers going and bake up a delicious yummy! Information regarding drop-off location and times will be forthcoming along with labeling suggestions. Auctions: 10:00am – 3:00pm (To be held in Ostertag Hall) There will be 3 types of Auctions held this year - Silent Bid – bids will be written down on sheets for all to see, selling each item to the highest bidder of the day. - Blind Bid – all bidders submit sealed bids so that no bidder knows the bid of any other participant. The highest bidder pays the price that was submitted. - Tricky Tray – a variety of donated items will be displayed along with a jar; instead of bidding, participants buy tickets and drop their ticket(s) into a desired item(s) jar. A ticket is drawn and that determines the winner of

Wakonda is located on 82 acres at 3915 East Schroon River Road, Pottersville, New York, 12860. The Cooperative property fronts a thirty-five acre private lake (Lake Wakonda) and a one-half mile of Schroon River, one mile below the south end of Schroon Lake in Warren County.
WHAT IS A COOPERATIVE?
A form of real estate ownership consisting of a corporation whose shareholders own and occupy a property and share in the responsibility of its maintenance. Wakonda has 148 shareholders who own and operate the property jointly, each with voting rights in proportion to the number of shares held for the cottage or cam

A form of real estate ownership consisting of a corporation whose shareholders own and occupy a property and share in the responsibility of its maintenance. Wakonda has 148 shareholders who own and operate the property jointly, each with voting rights in proportion to the number of shares held for the cottage or campsite occupied. Together with the shares acquired, each shareholder receives a proprietary lease entitling the shareholder to exclusive occupancy of the cottage or campsite that has been purchased.

During the off-season campground gates are locked, utilities are shut off and campers units remaining on the property must be securely stored in accordance with regulations. Campsite owners are welcome to visit the property during the off-season for hiking, bicycli

Campsite owners are welcome to visit the property during the off-season for hiking, bicycling, cross-country skiing, ice skating, ice fishing, etc. but they cannot occupy their units. Cottages may be occupied at any time during the year.
