Celebrate Mardi Gras 2020 in Lake George!

Looking to get out this weekend? Cure your cabin fever with these fun ideas below! Enjoy free stew and gumbo at an encore Mardi Gras celebration on Leap Day. Lake George is the best place to celebrate outside of The Big Easy! Also coming up this weekend are horse-drawn carriage rides, coutnry line dancing hosted by a CMA winner, and hockey!

Stews and Brews Presents: Mardi Gras in Lake George

Lake George makes the best place to celebrate Mardi Gras this year. Stews and Brews is putting on a Mardi Gras celebration in Lake George with 17 participating restaurants including The Lagoon, King Neptune’s Pub, Lake George Beach Club, XII Sporks, and 163 Taproom, to name a few. Each participating restaurant will be pre-selling tickets for unlimited rides on the shuttle by Hoppy Trails and Spa City Tours, so you can make it to as many stops as possible. 

Enjoy live music, in select locations as well as free soup and gumbo. Each location will be hosting a raffle for a chance to win gift certificates. Each location will also combine their tickets for a monster raffle for a chance to win over $500 and gift cards to all 17 locations! We hope to see you there!

Fun at the Fort William Henry Hotel & Resort

Along with all the festivities happening in Lake George for Mardi Gras, The Fort William Henry Hotel & Resort will be hosting a couple different activities over the weekend including a historical horse drawn wagon rides and a country line dancing festival!

Bundle up and enjoy a 20-minute horse drawn wagon ride through Lake George as a fort soldier tells you about the rich history of the village. At the end of the ride, walk through the casemate to listen to ghostly tales and end your journey warming up at Tankard Tavern. Rides leave at 5 & 6pm on Friday, February 28th. 

Also happening at The Fort William Henry Hotel & Resort is the Adirondack Country Line Dance Festival hosted by CMA winner Kevin Richards. Friday will be the hot country dance party with apps and chances to meet the instructors and line dancing lessons. Saturday will host a number of country dance workshops from 11am till 4pm. Another hot country dance party will take place from 7 till 11pm. Sunday will be the final day with a farewell dance from 10am till noon and bonus dances for anyone who purchased a package. Adirondack Thunder Law Enforcement Appreciation Night

Head on over to the Cool Insuring Arena, Saturday February 29th as the Adirondack Thunder take on the Reading Royals. The Warren County Sheriff's office will be hosting Saturdays event for the 4th Annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Night.
