Meet the Team: Meg Bell

Name and Title:

Meg Bell
Office Manager

Where are you originally from?

Bay Head, NJ

When did you join the team at the Lake George Regional Chamber of Commerce & CVB?

July 2021

What does your job entail?

I was recently promoted to Office Manager in January of this year.  My job is very multi-faceted!  I oversee all financial management for the Chamber, Convention and Visitors Bureau, and Adirondacks Welcome Center, which includes financial reporting for New York State and Warren County; I manage health insurance administration for the Chamber staff and Chamber members and am the internal HR manager; I oversee all general office management, including scheduling, contracted vendor coordination, supply purchases, etc.  I very quickly learned that no day is ever the same and there's never a dull moment!

What is your favorite thing about working at the Lake George Regional Chamber of Commerce & CVB?

As a transplant who chose to settle down in this area after visiting annually for most of my life, my love for the region and appreciation for all that it has to offer runs deep.  I really value that the Chamber has the opportunity to not only have a positive impact on the local economy, but to also introduce the area's attractions to new and returning visitors alike.

What are some of your favorite things to do in the Lake George region?

I love spending as much time outside as possible, especially during the warmer months: running or biking on the Warren County Bikeway, walking or hiking with my dog, boating or paddle boarding on the lake, etc.  I'll also never say no to an ice cream from Martha's, dinner and a drink at one of the restaurants on the lake, or an afternoon spent antiquing in Bolton or Warrensburg.

Share a fun fact about yourself!

My dog, Fisher, and I are a Therapy Dogs International-certified therapy dog team.  We've done visits at quite a few different facilities throughout the region, including nursing homes, retirement communities, libraries, schools, etc. and it's such a fun, rewarding experience.  Fisher's also come to the Chamber office with me a couple times over the last few months :)
