A nineteenth century lakefront hideaway, Land's End is comprised of two cottages on a little over one acre with 147 feet of private waterfront. The two cottages are the four-bedroom 1876 House built that year off of the land and its two-bedroom Guest Lodge.
Both cottages have well-equipped kitchens and spacious porches and decks overlooking lake and mountains. Care has been taken through the years to preserve the original architectural features of the cottages and their back-in-time interiors.
There is an E-shaped dock with a Boat House for canoe and kayak storage. The lakefront is ideal for children, with sandy-bottom swimming in clear, shallow water.
Located on the east side of 32-mile-long Lake George, known nationally as "Queen of America's lakes," Land's End is one mile south of Huletts Landing, NY, within the six-million-acre Adirondack Park.
Views from the site are dramatic. Across the lake to the west is the forever-wild Tongue Mountain range rising abruptly from the water. Width of the lake at the site is about one mile, with undeveloped islands midway across.
There are tall white pines, cedars and hemlocks rooted in beds of vibrant green ferns accented by wildflowers. There is peace and quiet with private spots where one can pause, take stock and renew. This is an exceptional environment for family recreation, weddings, and company retreats and in a magnificent setting just as it is of natural beauty.
