VIP Meet & Greet Event available to all patrons - does NOT include a ticket for the show. Includes: 1) View Al DiMeola's soundcheck with access to sit in the first 5 rows of seating during soundcheck. VIDEO RECORDING IS NOT PERMITTED. Cameras are permissible (no flash please); 2) Following soundcheck, you will meet Al DiMeola and he will sign up to 2 pieces of your favorite memorabilia should you wish to bring any items. In addition, an Al DiMeola CD will be provided which will be signed in person. During that time, you will be able to personally chat with Al. 3) You will have an opportunity to have your photo taken with Al with your phone or camera; 4) Priority access to the merchandise booth prior to the doors opening to the general public.
What you need to do: a) Purchase your VIP package through our website or by calling The Strand Box Office directly (518-832-3484; b) on the day of the show, please arrive at the venue with enough time to check in at 6 PM unless notified of a different time and report to the box office. Be prepared to show your ID during the check-in process; c) please wait by the front entrance of the venue to be escorted inside.

Al Di Meola, a bonafide living Guitar Legend inducted into the Gallery of Greats, brings his Electric Years show with a 4 piece backing band.  He is among the top guitarists of our time. His ongoing fascination with complex rhythmic syncopation combined with provocative lyrical melodies and sophisticated harmony has been at the heart of his music throughout a celebrated career that has spanned four decades and earned him critical accolades, four gold albums, two platinum albums, more than six million in record sales worldwide, five German gold albums, and various awards including an Honorary Doctorate Degree from Berklee College of Music, the Honorary Miles Davis Award presented by the Montreal Jazz Festival, a BBC Lifetime Achievement Award presented by Sir George Martin in 2008, Hungarian Foundation for Performing Arts Lyra Award, and numerous Grammy nominations and awards.
