16 Restaurants participating in Restaurant Appreciation Weeks
Posted: 9/14/2020 - 3-Minute Read
LAKE GEORGE, NY — This year the Lake George Regional Chamber of Commerce & CVB will be showcasing the hard-working restaurant staff as well as apple and pumpkin-themed food and drink during the new Fall Lake George Region Restaurant Appreciation Weeks.
This region-wide event features 16 restaurants from Glens Falls, Queensbury, Cleverdale and Lake George.
This year would have marked the 15th Annual Lake George Region Restaurant Week semi-annual promotion in which participating restaurants traditionally offer a prix fixe 3-course meal for a set price that corresponds with the year. This promotion usually takes place during the slower-paced weeks in June and September.
This year we are offering participating restaurants flexibility. They have the option of offering a prix fixe menu if they like but it is not required. During this two-week promotion, participating restaurants will offer a mix of beverages, appetizers, entrées and desserts with specified themes as follows:
- Week 1 — September 13 —19, 2020 | Apple Themed
- Week 2 — September 20 — 26, 2020 | Pumpkin Themed
Please note our restaurants are still operating at 50% capacity. People should call ahead of time to make reservations if possible. Face coverings are required when not seated.
People who dine at participating restaurants and post pictures of their meals, beverages, or gift card purchases on Facebook, Instagram and/or Twitter and write #DineLGR will be eligible to win a $25 gift card. Each participating restaurant is offering a gift card as a prize, so there will be 16 chances to win.
In addition, the Chamber will be showcasing the restaurant staff who have been working harder than ever to provide people with safe and satisfying dining experiences.
We may also feature some virtual cooking or mixology demonstrations from participating Chamber members.
“Amid current conditions and with feedback from our member restaurants, we wanted to reimagine this promotion into a creative event that would have a virtual component and encourage people to celebrate the people and ingenuity in the local restaurant industry,” said Lake George Regional Chamber of Commerce & CVB Executive Director Gina Mintzer.
The following Chamber member restaurants in Glens Falls, Cleverdale, Queensbury and Lake George have signed up to participate. Restaurants must be members of the Chamber to participate.
