3 Reasons To Work With The Lake George Regional Convention & Visitors Bureau
Posted: 7/2/2020
In our digital world, working with a regional Convention and Visitors Bureau can have significant benefits for event planners. Most CVB's work with local businesses and municipalities to help plan multiple events from business to sports and everything in between. Whether you are a local resident, frequent visitor or looking to come to the Lake George Area for the first time, here are three reasons to work with the Lake George Regional Convention & Visitors Bureau when planning your next event.
Small Dedicated Team
The Lake George Convention and Visitors Bureau is made up of a small team that works closely with the Lake George Regional Chamber of Commerce. This gives us an opportunity to work more effectively with our clients who come to us for assistance, with the resources of our Lake George chamber.
We have the ability to work closely with clients, giving them a more personalized experience. We understand the importance a first impression makes, and we are often the first point of contact for many looking to travel or host an event in the Lake George Region. When someone contacts us, we listen to what they need and what they are looking for, so we can meet their needs. We even have the option to work with you to create your very own personalized itinerary!
But, don't let our small team trick you. The Lake George Regional CVB is responsible for booking over 13,000 room nights in 2019 throughout 33 events large and small, bringing over 54,000 attendees to the region!
Giving potential event planners a warm welcome is extremely important to us and our dedicated team works hard to make our clients feel heard, welcome and a part of their own planning team.
Relationships With Local Businesses
The Lake George Convention & Visitors Bureau can assist potential visitors in a multiple of ways. Whether you are looking to host a meeting, convention, sporting tournament, or wedding, we can help you find exactly what you are looking for, turning your vision into reality. We can help you plan every aspect of your trip, including but not limited to:
-
Sporting Facilities
-
Event Venues
-
Hospitality & Lodging Accommodations
-
Dining Arrangements
-
Transportation
-
Local Attractions
We don't expect everyone to know everything about our region and we are your conduit and facilitator locally, helping you navigate the lay of the land, connect you with the right people and ensure the entire success of your event. We work with local businesses every day, planning and assisting visitors, booking rooms at various properties and setting up events from start to finish.
Staying in communication with our local partners is very important. Staying on top of what is available and other promotions gives you the best deals for the best experience possible.
Information & Resources
Lastly, we have access to the most reliable and current information pertaining to the region, making us a reliable hub of local news and current events.
In recent developments, pertaining to COVID-19, the Lake George Convention & Visitors Bureau has worked closely with our Lake George Chamber as well as surrounding chambers and business leaders, navigating the crisis, and leading the charge to get our partners back up and running, working on guidelines and distributing important information out, not only to our visitors but our community.
To ensure the health and safety of our destination, the Lake George Regional CVB worked in conjunction with the Warren County Lodging Association, local Chambers of Commerce, Warren County Tourism Department and government officials to establish a commission to develop specific guidelines and best practices for safely reopening four sectors of tourism in Warren County — Hospitality, Food & Beverage, Retail and Entertainment.
It is called the Health & Safety Pledge and is a way for our businesses to show their dedication to keeping this area a safe place to live, work and vacation. Through this program, businesses will be given a badge to show they've taken the pledge to display
When the time is right, we want you to know that the Lake George Area and Southern Adirondacks are dedicated to providing the safest environment for locals and visitors alike.
We look forward to welcoming you back to your region, safely and with a smile.
