A Special Mixer Aboard the Saratoga, Corinth & Hudson Railway

The Evening

Guests were whisked away on a journey through time aboard the Saratoga Corinth & Hudson Railway’s beautifully restored vintage rail cars during the Lake George Regional Chamber of Commerce & CVB’s After-Hours Mixer (A Family-friendly Affair!) on Wednesday, September 18. The train horn blew to transition attendees from the outdoor networking event to onboarding the classic train cars. As the train rolled through the picturesque Southern Adirondacks, passengers enjoyed the sweeping landscapes of marshes and countryside illuminated by the setting sun. Inside, the comfortable leather seats and 1950s charm of the railcars made for a cozy atmosphere, while twinkle lights and rustic wooden “open-air” carts outside created a magical ambiance. The evening featured live music with Andrew Mollica, locally catered food from Amore, and wine provided by Fossil Stone Farms Vineyard based out of Greenfield Center, all adding to the warmth and allure of this unforgettable gathering.

The event welcomed 75 attendees, including local elected officials and community leaders such as Gene Merlino, Town Supervisor, and Jim LaFarr, Warren County Sheriff. Adding to the guest list were new business owners Pamela and Michael Carr of the renovated Motel Luzerne, Victoria Bushey, second generation owner of  Kingsbury Printing, and George Haleem, newest owner of Rockwell Falls Inn and Wine Bar. This family-friendly affair brought together people of all ages, from 7 months to 80 years, making it a joyful and inclusive evening.
