Adirondacks Welcome Center Agri-tour series launches with Maple Coloring Page
Posted: 3/22/2021 - 2-minute Read
The Adirondacks Welcome Center is now offering a series of self-driving tours for families in the southern Adirondack region that feature local agricultural commodities. The seasonal tours are presented in the form of a creative coloring page that can be downloaded from the Lake George Regional Chamber of Commerce & CVB’s website at lakegeorgechamber.com/tasteny. The coloring pages were created by Advokate, a local woman-owned design firm based in Glens Falls, NY.
Produced in cooperation with Taste NY and Cornell Cooperative Extension of Washington County, the newly created coloring pages feature farms and markets offering local agricultural products. The first tour in the series features maple syrup, which is being produced currently throughout the region.
Each tour/coloring page will feature four local businesses within Washington, Warren, Saratoga, Hamilton, and Essex Counties. Other commodities that will be featured in future tours include dairy, fibers, apples, pumpkins, and Christmas trees.
