A Grand Celebration: Lake George Regional Chamber of Commerce Hosts Unique Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Last Friday, the Lake George Regional Chamber of Commerce & CVB held a unique ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Adirondack Carvers Co-Op, and it was truly memorable! Members, local businesses, and community leaders came together to celebrate this significant milestone, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the co-op, that has grown to 8 regional wood carvers.

Highlights of the Ceremony

One of the standout features of this ribbon-cutting ceremony was its unique approach. Instead of the traditional single ribbon, a wooden ribbon was used, and a small chainsaw was used to inaugurate the grand opening. This symbolic gesture, led by Carver Glenn Durlacher, highlighted the fun spirit of the co-op.

The climax of the event was, of course, the ribbon cutting itself. With cameras flashing and applause ringing out, Glenn Durlacher, flanked by board members and special guests, cut through the wooden ribbon with a chainsaw!

Following the ceremony, visitors explored the magnificent sculpture garden, showcasing exquisite wood creations by eight of the finest chainsaw carvers in the country. Live chainsaw carving demonstrations captivated the audience, offering a glimpse into the artistry and skill involved in creating these stunning works of art.
