Embrace the chill and join us for the 63rd Annual Lake George Winter Carnival, a cherished tradition since 1961. This year, the festivities span five weekends from January 31st through March 2nd, 2025, offering a plethora of family-friendly activities that celebrate the beauty and excitement of winter in the Adirondacks.

Event Highlights:
Duck Hunt
The 3rd annual Duck Hunt is scheduled for February 1!
ATV Poker Run
The ATV Poker Run Registration is open, and happening February 1, 8, 15, and March 1.
Outhouse Races

Outhouse races take place on the lake if it's frozen, and in Battlefield Park if not. There are five members per team, with a $50 registration fee per team. Outhouses must be 4 feet by 4 feet by 6 feet tall, and you must race upright.
Outhouse races are taking place on Saturday, February 1, and Saturday, February 22.
Polar Plunge

Brave the icy waters of Lake George with daily Polar Plunge events.
Snowmobile Poker Run
The Snowmobile Poker Run is scheduled for February 22, with registration at the Holiday Inn Resort Lake George.
Cook Offs
Tickets are on sale now for the Lake George Winter Carnival Cook Off Competitions!

- February 8: BBQ Cook Off
- February 15: Chowder Cook Off
- February 22: Wing Cook Off
- March 1: Mac & Cheese Cook Off
How it works: Sample delicious dishes from local chefs and restaurants. Vote to help crown the winners!
Souvenir Mug & Hot Chocolate Topping Bar
Limited quantities are available for the collectible Lake George Winter Carnival souvenir mugs, that of course come with a delicious mug of hot chocolate with your choice of toppings.

Additional Activities:
Each weekend is filled with a variety of activities, including horse and carriage rides, children's events, karaoke sing-alongs, paint and sip sessions, and more. Most events are centered around Shepard Park, with some taking place at other local venues. Please check individual event details for specific locations and times.

Ice Conditions: While many events are not ice-dependent, some activities like ice races require safe ice conditions. Updates and any schedule changes due to ice conditions will be announced on the Winter Carnival's Facebook page or website.

Registration and Tickets: Certain events require pre-registration or tickets, including cook-offs, the Hot Chocolate Topping Bar, and outhouse races. Be sure to sign up in advance to secure your spot.

Volunteering: The Lake George Winter Carnival is entirely volunteer-based. If you're interested in helping out with children's activities, cook-offs, games, security, or other areas, please consider joining our team.
