Flying Pumpkins, Medieval Mayhem and Family Fun: Pumpkin Chunkin Returns

Get ready for one seriously fun (and slightly messy) fall festival experience in the heart of the Adirondacks! On Saturday, November 8, from 12–4 p.m., the team at Adirondack Pub & Brewery will host their 8th Annual Pumpkin Chunkin’ Fall Festival — one part medieval fair, one part pumpkin-powered spectacle, and all family fun.

This annual tradition invites guests of all ages to bring their own pumpkin (BYOP) and help launch or catapult it through the air, sling apples, enjoy costumed entertainment, bounce houses, food and drink trucks, and more. Entry is free — so come hungry for fun, not for admission!

What to Expect

🎯 Pumpkin Chunkin’ & Apple Launching
Bring your pumpkin and see how far it flies! Guests can test out catapults and slingshots designed to send pumpkins and apples soaring across the event field.

⚔️ Medieval Mayhem
Expect jousting knights, battle demos, dancing witches, and fire-dancers that bring a touch of medieval magic to the day’s festivities.

🧚‍♀️ Enchanted Characters & Wanderings
Meet The Forest Fairy in her woodland home, Wizard Grondahl the wand maker, and enjoy performances by the whimsical musical trio Wandering Monsters.

🎡 Family Fun Zone
Kids will love the giant slide, bounce house, crafts, and more. Bonfires, food, and beer trucks will round out the afternoon for visitors of all ages.

🍁 Food, Drinks & Community Spirit
Hosted behind High Peaks Distilling, the festival brings together local food vendors, craft beverages, and the warm community vibe that defines fall in Lake George.
