The Beneficiaries
What makes this even more special? 100% of the net proceeds of the Glens Falls Brewfest support two local not-for-profits — the Feeder Canal Alliance and Adirondack Theatre Festival.
The Feeder Canal Alliance (FCA) is a non-profit organization that fosters the preservation, maintenance and enhancement of the historic Feeder Canal and Towpath Trail, which opened in 1822. North Country residents as well as day trippers and tourists can enjoy walking, running, biking, paddling, bird-watching and family fun along the scenic nine mile long trail that meanders through a city, villages and the countryside.
Adirondack Theatre Festival (ATF) is a professional not-for-profit summer theatre located in Glens Falls, NY. ATF strives to challenge, entertain, and nourish its audience through the development and production of new and contemporary musicals and plays. This relationship engages the community as audience members and participants in workshops, discussions, and educational programming.
About Brewfest
Brewfest was started thirteen years ago by Chris Reed, John Cordes and Bill Mason.
“What they did was give our town one of the first area beer festivals. As dedicated community members, however, they wanted to see this Brewfest do much more than simply satisfy a desire for handcrafted brews. They wanted it to have a positive impact on the community,” as stated on the Brewfest website.
Over the years through sponsors and attendees, Brewfest has contributed more than $200,000 to community causes!
