Ice Bars Return to Lake George Region

There's no cooler lounge scene than an Ice Bar, and the Lake George region happens to be a hot spot.
Crews have spent the past weeks carving thousands of pounds of ice to create bars, stools, games and intricate sculptures.
Each location has a menu of tasty specialty cocktails. You can head inside at any of them to warm up and enjoy a bite to eat.
Most ice bars in our area take place in January, but stay tuned for information about Ice Bars in February as well.
Here are some ice bars coming up in Lake George region in 2023:
Fort William Henry Polar Ice Bar
January 20-22
- January 20th 4 p.m. — 10 p.m. with live music by Joe DeFelice
- January 21st 4 p.m. — 10 p.m. with live music by Radio Junkies
- January 22nd noon — 4 p.m. with live music by Richie Ortiz
Enjoy live music, specialty drinks and a fire lounge all weekend!
The Sagamore Resort – Glacier Ice Bar
January 20 - 21 & January 27 - 28
The Sagamore's 10th annual Glacier Ice Bar & Lounge at The Sagamore Resort in Bolton Landing is one of the coolest events in the Northeast. See the transformation of 18,000 pounds of crystal-clear ice into a bar and lounge overlooking Lake George in the Adirondacks.
- This year’s theme is Arctic Wild, inspired by Alaska’s vast and untouched wilderness.
- Overnight guests will receive free admission to the event and enjoy a full array of accompanying weekend activities.

Adirondack Pub & Brewery - Funky Ice Bar
January 20-21 & January 27-28
- Friday, January 20: 4 – 8 p.m.
- Saturday, January 21: 4 – 8 p.m.
- Friday, January 27: 4 – 8 p.m.
- Saturday, January 28: 4 – 8 p.m.
It's time once again to bring the FUNK. Visit the Grooviest Ice Bar in the Adirondacks and enjoy plenty of Handcrafted Cocktails made from Local Spirits, ADK Brewery Beer, Ice Sculptures, Food Specials, and much more! Entry is FREE and this is a family-friendly event.
Ice Castles Polar Pub Ice Bar and Mystic Light Trail
January 27-28 & February 3rd & 4th
Please note though Ice Castles now expects a Feb. 3 opening, they will open the new Polar Pub Ice Bar and Mystic Light Trail during the following hours:
These will be free to visit for anyone who wants to get a sneak peek at their newest attractions while they work through these weather challenges to build something magical later in the season than anticipated.
