Lake George Named 8th Bluest Water Body in United States

The greens and blues of summer are on grand display in the enchanting Lake George region. With its majestic mountains and serene lakes, the wonders of the natural world truly captivate in the Adirondacks.

Now Lake George has been officially recognized for its breathtakingly blue waters!

Adding to many accolades, Sixt, a rental car company, has named Lake George as the eighth bluest water body in the United States in its online magazine article “The Perfect Shades of Vacation,” which help travelers “find their perfect shade of water.”

“According to research, being in close proximity with water can improve our mental state – making us happier, calmer, healthier and more creative,” according to the article.

We couldn’t agree more!

The company analyzed the most beautiful bodies of water across the nation.

“Perfect for thrill seekers and relaxation lovers alike, New York’s Lake George is the perfect destination for those looking to recharge. Tourists can enjoy this spot all throughout the year, with the winter months offering ideal skiing conditions, whilst the summer months are perfect for sightseeing, enjoying local amusement parks, or unwinding with a book by the lake,” the article states.

Wondering exactly what color hex code Lake George is? According to the article it’s #517EB7.

We’re grateful to our members the Lake George Association and Lake George Land Conservancy for helping preserve water quality!
