Lake George Regional Convention & Visitors Bureau Welcomes Brian Mulligan as Event Sales & Services

LAKE GEORGE, NY — The Lake George Regional Convention & Visitors Bureau (LGRCVB) is pleased to announce the hiring of Brian Mulligan as its new Event Sales & Services Specialist. In this role, Brian will focus on promoting the Lake George Area (Warren County) as a premier destination for meetings, conferences, sporting events, and group tours. His responsibilities include building relationships with event planners, showcasing the area’s diverse venues, and supporting the successful execution of group events.

For Brian, however, this isn’t just a job—it’s a homecoming.

A Lifelong Connection to the Lake George Region

Brian’s love for Lake George runs deep. Growing up in the Hudson Valley, he spent every summer vacationing in Lake George, experiencing firsthand the area’s attractions, lodging, and events. That connection only grew stronger when he took a summer job during college, managing a marina on the lake, guiding jet ski rentals, leading boat tours, and providing boating safety instructions—giving him early hands-on experience in the tourism industry.

Now, as a first-time homeowner in the Lake George Area, Brian brings a unique perspective—one that blends his experience as both a visitor and a local—to his new role.

A Strong Background in Sales & Hospitality

Brian earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from SUNY Plattsburgh, where his passion for recreation, hospitality, and business development came together. After graduation, he gained valuable experience in high-volume retail and hospitality settings, working at Woodbury Commons, one of New York’s top tourism destinations. There, he worked with national and international clientele and took on leadership roles at Woodbury Commons and the Westchester Mall in White Plains.

Most recently, Brian served as Store Manager at the Lake George Outlets, where he was recognized as Top Sales Manager for the Upstate District in 2023—a testament to his strong leadership skills, customer relations expertise, and ability to drive success. These skills will translate seamlessly into his work at the LGRCVB, where he’ll be responsible for engaging with event organizers, attending trade shows, and assisting with sales and marketing initiatives to bring new group business to the region.

Beyond his professional background, Brian is deeply connected to the sports community. As a former high school varsity and travel hockey captain, he led his team to victory at the New York State Championship (18U) in Buffalo. Today, his love for the game continues as he cheers on the Adirondack Thunder and supports local teams.

Helping Shape the Future of Lake George Events

The LGRCVB, a division of the Lake George Regional Chamber of Commerce & CVB, works in partnership with Warren County Tourism to attract year-round group business and drive economic impact through conferences, conventions, and large-scale events.

"Brian’s strong background in sales and customer relations, combined with his understanding of the visitor experience, makes him an excellent fit for our team,” said Gina Mintzer, Executive Director of the Lake George Regional Chamber of Commerce & CVB. "His ability to build meaningful connections with clients and industry partners will help us continue positioning the Lake George Area as a premier meeting and event destination."

As Event Sales & Services Specialist, Brian is excited to welcome groups, events, and visitors to the destination that has meant so much to him over the years. His combination of hospitality expertise, tourism experience, and deep love for the region will help ensure that every group choosing Lake George has an unforgettable experience.
