Looking for something fun to do this weekend? We have a few ideas.
Craft Beverage Pairing Dinner
In October Chef Michael at The View Restaurant at Dunham’s Bay began a monthly series of pairing dinners featuring members of the Adirondack Craft Beverage Trail.
This month’s dinner will pair deliciosuly crafted dishes with Adirondack Winery wines.Try locally-made luxurious wines during a delicious 5-Course meal. Seating begins at 5:30, Friday night at The View Restaurant located at Dunham’s Bay. Attendance costs $40 per person.

The Strand Theatre
The Strand Theatre, located in Hudson Falls is host to multiple fun and exciting events weekly. This week, join The Strand Theatre Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Friday, November 22 is the night of Bee’s Gee’s Tribute with Doug Irving and Friends. The 8th Annual Bee’s Gee’s party will have a night of 70’s funk and disco along with early hits of the Bee Gee Brothers. Music starts at 7:30
Join Strand Theatre Saturday, November 23 at 8 pm for a night of music of Emerson Lake & Palmar performed live. This is a must-see for any ELP fans.
If you missed Friday or Saturday nights at The Strand Theatre, join them Sunday for Music 4 Minnie, a concert of four outstanding performances including Johnny Cash, Dirt Cheap, The Stony Creek Band and The South Street Saints. Performed by Harold Ford. The proceeds for this event will go to ongoing medical expenses of Minnie Mason. Help support a good cause and enjoy amazing performances.

Bolton PTO Turkey Trot
This weekend, Bolton will be hosting their PTO Turkey Trot 5K run/walk. The 5K will start at 9 am on Saturday, November 23 in Veterans Memorial Park. Awards will go out for best costume. Prices include $10 for adults, $5 for students or $20 for families, and proceeds will go to Bolton Central School’s PTO.

Sausage Party & Burly Beard Hall of Fame
The name says it all! Sample Oscar’s Smokehouse sausages and enter in the burliest beard contest at Northway Brewing Co. Prizes will be awarded to several different beard related contests including a mug to enjoy in the taproom and a case of Burly Beard Oatmeal Stout. Live music by The North and South Dakotas will be on location. Proceeds go to Adirondack Youth Hockey Association.

South Glens Falls Fire Company Holiday Parade
Enjoy a festive weekend in South Glens Falls at the annual holiday parade, Sunday, November 24. Starting at 1 pm, the parade will begin at Carriage Traders, down Route 9 to the Peppermill. Santa Clause will also be making a special visit for the kids! Feel free to bring any perishable food items to be donated to the Moreau Community Center, as well as unwrapped toys for the Marine detachment’s Toys for Girls and Boys.
