Receptionist Sandy DeKleine Retires After 20 Years

For 20 years Sandy DeKleine offered a friendly voice and face to all of the members and visitors who called and stopped into the Chamber office in Lake George.

It was 2001 when she first accepted the position of receptionist at Lake George Regional Chamber of Commerce & CVB.

Over two decades Sandy became a local resource, offering one-on-one assistance for visitors, many of them who looked forward to seeing her every year.

On July 2 2021, Sandy worked her last day at the Chamber before retiring. Now she'll be pursuing new adventures and traveling!

We'll miss her, but we wish he well!

Below is a note from Sandy about her retirement:

"The time has come for me to retire and start the next chapter of my life. I have lots of future plans to travel and spend time with my family and my friends. The past 20 years here have allowed me to meet some fantastic people that I won't forget and hope to keep in touch with.

I'll miss the familiar voices and faces I grew so accustomed to seeing on a regular basis. It made me feel so fulfilled to be able to be a part of the Lake George Regional Chamber for all these years. From building relationships with the hotel, restaurant, and attraction owners, to the other area businesses, tourists, and student connections — I will not forget any of you!

I want to say thank you to all of you for being a part of my life for so long, and please know that I am so grateful for your friendship.

Best wishes to everyone!"
