LAKE GEORGE, NY — The 35th Annual International Women on Wheels® (WOW™) Ride-In™ is coming to the winding roads of Lake George, New York! This annual event brings together women motorcyclists and enthusiasts from across the United States for a full three-days of recreation, education, mutual support and recognition, all while promoting a positive image of motorcycling.
The Roaring Brook Ranch (2206 NY-9N, Lake George, NY 12845) and the Comfort Inn & Suites (4054 Rt 9L Lake George, NY 12845) will host more than 250 Women On Wheels® members and their array of iron ponies from July 13 through July 15, 2021. These ladies and their support members are eagerly awaiting the adventures to be found on the rolling, scenic roads, taking many to local attractions and beautiful places they have never been before.
“Lake George was chosen because it’s an excellent riding area, a welcoming community and offers a variety of shopping, entertainment and dining options for the members of WOW,” said Carol Dean Skala, President of WOW. “Several members have attended Americade in the past and suggested the area as an idea for the event.”
The Lake George Regional Convention & Visitors Bureau, a division of the Lake George Regional Chamber of Commerce & CVB, assisted with bringing this event to the Lake George Area.
“We are excited that the Lake George Area was chosen for this year’s event, especially since many WOW members live in the Northeast US and will be coming in from all over the country. We’re doubly excited by the fact that they get to meet live, in-person and we get to show-off the area,” said Gina Mintzer, Executive Director of the Lake George Regional Convention & Visitors Bureau.
Registration Open On-Site
This year, the organization is allowing open registration for all women riders and their support team members to join Women on Wheels ® to have the opportunity to participate in this American Motorcycle Association sanctioned event. Information will be available at the hotel starting July 13 at the WOW™ Registration Center. Female motorcycle enthusiasts are invited to stop by the Women on Wheels® Ride-In™ in the Lake George area. When women register for this event, they get an annual membership in WOW™ as well.
