Six Flags Great Escape launches 2023 season with improvements

Six Flags Great Escape, the thrill capital of upstate New York, will launch the 2023 season Saturday, May 20. Featuring park improvements and renovations, the park continues to focus on a thrilling and memorable guest experience. Six Flags’ investments include renovations to the popular Raging River white-water rafting experience, brand new grab-and-go dining options including We Proudly Serve™ Starbucks offerings, park beautification efforts and a robust event line-up.

Six Flags Great Escape Resort 2023 season includes:

Raging River: Visitors who love the Raging River rafting experience will enjoy the new entrance complete with a waterfall, revitalized ride water features, updated theming and refreshed, lush landscaping.
Boot Hill Café: New this year, Six Flags is thrilled to bring in the addition of iconic coffee offerings featuring “We Proudly Serve Starbucks™”. Grab-and-go coffee, sandwiches, salads and pastries will provide the perfect mid-day recharge.
Hospitality Center: Guests will experience enhanced customer service with a new hospitality center located just behind guest relations. Decorated with a new fountain and shade structures, this location will provide park information, directions, pass holder and guest assistance, and other park-related needs.
Park Beautification: Guests will enjoy added benches, picnic tables and water park chairs improving the number of available seats by over 25%. Cinderella’s Castle will feature a beautifully updated courtyard with seating available for guests to relax and take a break. Increased trash can locations will improve park cleanliness and provide added guest convenience.
Restroom Upgrades: Amenity improvements include air quality enhancements and new paint in all restrooms, a renovated Noah’s Bath House and key locations fitted with water bottle refilling stations to keep guests hydrated. Opening this summer will be two brand-new family restrooms conveniently located in the front gate area.
Events: An exciting lineup of special events during the 2023 season allows guests endless opportunities for fun all season long.
New Wild West Fest: Weekends in June, celebrate the wild, wild west in Ghost Town. Journey into the past with pony rides, lasso shows, special food offerings, line dancing, cowboys and special appearances from our in-park characters.
4th of July Fireworks Celebration Presented by Coca-Cola: July 2 - 4, guests can enjoy fireworks, rides, discounted tickets and more.
Oktoberfest: Select days in September, visitors can explore German-inspired cuisines, brews and desserts.
Boo Fest: Select days in October, featuring family friendly trick-or-treating, unique fall festivities, fun character photo opportunities and delicious treats.
Fright Fest: Select days in October, guests will experience thrills by day and the scariest frights by night.
Lodge room renovations: After taking a splash in the indoor water park, or a long day at the theme park, guests can cozy up in newly renovated suites at the Six Flags Great Escape Lodge and Indoor Water Park, designed to increase the guest experience making them feel more at home.
