Summer Activities Reopen at Gore Mountain
Posted: 7/15/2020
As our region continues to reopen responsibly, we're thrilled to add another attraction to our list of fresh-air activities you can enjoy while maintaining social distancing and staying safe.
Our Chamber member Gore Mountain will begin welcoming people back on Thursday, July 16, 2020, for summer fun.
They will be open Thursday — Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for some great activities to get you moving outdoors.
If you love Gore Mountain the winter, you’ve got to visit in the summer. During these warmer months they are offering scenic skyrides, hiking, downhill mountain biking and disc golf!
Before embarking on your adventure, be sure to review their important health and safety requirements including:
- Practice social distancing by allowing at least six feet between yourself/ your party and other guests.
- In accordance with New York State safety mandates, face coverings are required whenever social distancing cannot be maintained while acquiring tickets or at their sundeck food service, retail locations, inside the lodges, sky ride loading and unloading areas and throughout the experience within the enclosed gondola. Guests may board the ride with members of their party or alone.
- Hand sanitizing stations are conveniently located at the top and bottom of the skyride and near the entrance to the ticketing line
Gore Mountain was one of the first organizations to take the Lake George Region/ Southern Adirondacks Health & Safety Pledge to show their commitment to the well-being of our local community and visitors.
Visit the Gore Mountain website for more information and to see which days the scenic gondola and open-air chairlift rides are available.
