Hockey and the arts provide a full schedule this weekend

As the temperature outside drops this November, there are plenty of events going on this weekend to keep you cozy and warm!

The Hyde Collection

The Hyde Collection is offering several different events this weekend making a fun-filled weekend for the whole family.

Kicking off the weekend on Friday, November 15th, The Hyde Collection is offering a couple of different tours; Free Docent Tours of the Hyde House and the special exhibitions, as well as the Here and Now Tour with The Memory Cafe, will both be running from 1:00 pm till 3:00 pm. The Here and Now Tour provides a gathering place for friends, family, and caregivers of folks with Alzheimers and other dementia to gather and enjoy entertainment and refreshments.

Also on the 15th, The Hyde Collections is putting on a Murder Mystery Tour with Art in The Public Eye. Go on an adventure through the Hyde House, engage with the characters and see if you can solve the mystery.

Join Museum Educator Jenny Hutchinson Saturday, November 16th at The Hyde Collection. Learn to use mixed media techniques to create artwork of your own.

Last but not least, on Sunday, November 17th, you can attend the de Blasiis Music Series from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm and enjoy a performance by Christopher Bush Trio. Christopher Bush is a clarinet player in the Glens Falls Symphony Orchestra and will be accompanied by Taisiya Pushkar and Molly Aronson.

Strand Theatre Events

The Strand Theare’s beautiful renovations are the perfect setting for a stunning lineup of premier events.

Groove with Jukebox Rebellion on Friday, November 15. Jay Yager has been the frontman for some of the biggest party bands of the last 30 years; from Groove Assassin, to the Burners UK and then The Audio Starz.

 On Saturday, November 16, you can see a beautiful 60-minute performance called MUKTA, a Woman Liberated. This dance production highlights a pivotal dialogue between a modern woman, or nayika, and her inner Goddess. In Sanskrit, MUKTA means liberation.

On Sunday, November 17 you can get the The Linda Ronstadt Experience featuring American Idol Finalist Tristan McIntosh! Tickets are only $20.

Adirondack Thunder

Cheer on the Adirondack Thunder Friday, November 15th, for 80’s Night, as they take on the Reading Royals at the Cool Insuring Arena in downtown Glens Falls. Thunder games are exciting for the whole family and are never disappointing. Get your tickets today!

Wine & Chocolate

The Chapman Historical Museum’s 14th Annual Wine & Chocolate Tasting is slated for Friday, November 15 at The Queensbury Hotel.
Sample more than 70 domestic and imported wines. Proceeds from these events benefit the Chapman Historical Museum.

Annual Toy Drive for Big Brothers Big Sisters

Help make a child's Christmas a little bit brighter, this holiday season, and stop by the Adirondack Winery on Saturday, November 16th to donate a toy to Big Brothers Big Sisters for a free wine tasting session. Big Brothers Big Sisters will be accepting donations at the Adirondack Winery Lake George Tasting Room; located at 285 Canada St, Lake George, NY.

You can donate to Big Brothers Big Sister at the Adirondack Winery starting November 16th through December 8th.

Adirondack Pub & Brewery

The Adirondack Pub & Brewery welcomes people to Detox and Retox Yoga. Yoga sessions will be hosted by server, yoga instructor and owner of Sasaphras Yoga, Stephanie Berube.

Hosted in the Barrel Room, yoga will be $12 for an hour-long session as you enjoy samples of craft beer produced by Adirondack Pub & Brewery.
