Posted: 6/17/2022 - 3-Minute Read
LAKE GEORGE, NY — The Lake George Expedition Park, home of Dino Roar Valley and Magic Forest will host a fundraiser to benefit the family of those who lost their lives in the tragic motorcycle accident that happened on Sunday, June 12, 2022, in the Lake George area. The accident took the lives of two local people: Mr. James A. Persons of Lake George, and Quinton P. Delgadillo also of Lake George. Another pedestrian, Jasmine Luellen, 30, of Lake George, was transported to Albany Medical Center and is in stable condition. Three other children with the group of pedestrians were not injured. The Park will be open from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 22 with admission as donation only with all proceeds going to the family.
In addition to the admission proceeds, there will be silent auction items including a variety of gift baskets up for bidding. Dave Ehmann, local concert promoter and event producer, will auction off four pairs of VIP tickets for the Adirondack Independence Music Festival, adkmusicfest.com, valued at $650 per pair. The Park will also offer entertainment that includes Rich Ortiz 2:30-4pm followed by Dirt Cheap, 4:30-7pm. Food Truck vendors will be on site with a portion of their sales going toward the overall donations. All donations will go to help the family through this sad and challenging time.
The Lake George Rotary Club will be selling their Rotary Red Sauce at the Lake George Expedition Park Fundraiser. All proceeds will go the family. "Service above self" is the Rotary's motto.
“We can’t imagine the depth of sorrow and devastation the family is going through, yet we can imagine the expenses of dealing with the deaths of their loved ones. Our Lake George neighbors need us now more than ever and this is the way we can all help them,” said Danna Ellsworth, event organizer.
The event organizer, Danna Ellsworth, is seeking auction items, raffle items, volunteers and any other support that will assist this family.
Unrelated to this event is an overall Go Fund Me account set up through the Lake George Elementary School, https://gofund.me/0fc7f776.
