Youth Invited to Register for International Conference

QUEENSBURY, NY — The International Youth Conference (IYC) 4, an event in its fourth edition, is coming to the Lake George Area for the first time! 

Local youth are invited to register for this event, offered in-person and virtually. The deadline to register is Friday,  June 25, 2021. There is no cost to register or attend.

Previous conferences were also hybrid format and headquartered in New York City.

The Lake George Regional Convention & Visitors Bureau(LGRCVB), a division of the Chamber, assisted in finding a location. Organizers chose the Sleep Inn & Suites Lake George located at 906 Route 9 in Queensbury.

“We chose the Lake George Area for the conference because we are looking for a new hub for the International Youth Conference which is more natural and environmentally friendly,” said Ali Mustafa, Co-Founder of IYC.

The conference will begin at 9 a.m. Friday, June 25, 2021, and will be streamed live at fb.com/gnvoy

Meetings and sessions with local youth will start at 2 p.m. on June 25, 26 and 27.

Organizers expect 2,000 people to attend virtually.

Having become accustomed to the new normal, the world is entering a new era. With new hopes, come the opportunity and the responsibility of creating a world young people can find their place in. Fresh leadership requires fresh thinking and perspectives. The International Youth Conference (IYC) aims at achieving just that.

IYC serves as a platform for young people to have conversations that will enable them to look ahead in the aftermath of the COVID19 pandemic.

The 4th International Youth Conference intends the youth to be recharged, with better energy and momentum. The world ahead needs to start right, with the most important conversations, so that it continues right. At the 4th edition of IYC all focus will be on Action, Impact, Partnerships, South – South, North – South Cooperation, UN Sustainable Development Goals and UN in 2045.

About the LGRCVB

The LGRCVB is a division of the Lake George Regional Chamber of Commerce & CVB and works as an extension of the Warren County Tourism Department. While the Tourism Department markets Warren County to the leisure consumer tourism market, the mission of the LGRCVB is to bring year-round, weather-proof group business to Warren County in the form of meetings, conventions, reunions, sports events, weddings, and more.
