On Thursday March 21 at 6:30 The Rochmon Record Club will converge to listen and learn about The Cars eponymous first album - “The Cars” at The Park Theater, 14 Park Street, Glens Falls. Doors open at 6:30, the show begins at 7 pm with a live audio & video presentation by Chuck Vosganian aka “Rochmon”. Tickets are available at thelinda.org

The Cars were formed in Boston in 1976 and spent 2 years dialing in their sound, working on the Boston bar circuit, and recording self-produced demos. The Cars eponymous first album, produced by studio wunderkind Roy Thomas Baker, was released in June 1978, and changed the sound of music on the radio. “The Cars”, which itself could qualify as a greatest hits collection, is filled with quirky, genre defying, and defining songs that got suburbia pogoing and slam dancing! We’ll listen to all of “The Cars” including “Good Times Roll”, “My Best Friend’s Girl”, You’re All I Got Tonight”, “Just What I Needed” and 5 more. As is his way, Rochmon will have a few surprises in store!

The Rochmon Record Club Listening Party begins at 7pm with a live audio & video presentation by Chuck Vosganian aka “Rochmon”. A Rochmon Record Club Listening Party is meant to inform and deepen our understanding of the history of the individual performers, the songs and the stories that went into the making of this iconic album.
