GLENS FALLS, NEW YORK — Dine Out on South Street: Event on Thursday, March 20
GLENS FALLS, NEW YORK — The public is invited to support South Street restaurants in Glens
Falls, New York, on Thursday, March 20, 2025, in an event called “How to Get to South Street”
celebrating the seven restaurants in this corridor affected by recent construction projects.
Restaurant-goers are urged to enjoy specials and regular menus from these businesses on this
night in particular to give them a boost during what has been a difficult time losing foot traffic due
to the updates to buildings on this street that have closed down sidewalks and access points.
Parking on South Street is limited due to construction. Alternative parking is available at the Park
Street Garage and on Elm, Broad, School, Hudson, and Glen Streets. You may have to walk a little,
but it’s worth it!

“The goal of this event is to bring attention to South Street restaurants that have been impacted
by the ongoing development projects—projects that we all hope will strengthen our community in
the long run,” says organizer Diana Palmer, Third Ward Common Council Member for Glens Falls.
“These businesses invested early in this neighborhood’s future, and while construction presents
challenges, they continue to serve as vibrant parts of our community. While the work will be
completed in the next year, they need our support now. This event is a way for all of us to rally
around them and show that we appreciate and value what they bring to Glens Falls.”
“We are happy to support the business community and the restaurants of South Street,” adds
Nancy Turner, President of the Glens Falls Collaborative and Third Ward Warren County
Supervisor for Glens Falls. “Their success is our collective success, and it is a priority.”
