Tannery Pond Center
Location 228 Main St., North Creek, NY  12853

6:30 PM - 10:00 PM

Following in the footsteps of Agatha Christie and Arthur Conan Doyle, Gem Radio
Theatre is bringing a murder mystery play, “Tanner Pond Wedding,” to North
Creek’s Tannery Pond Center on May 3.
The evening, which will serve as the Spring fundraiser for the community center,
will start with cocktails and hearty and satiating hors d’oeuvres followed by the first
act of the play. There will be more hors d’oeuvres and a wedding cake served next
to two bubbling chocolate fountains during the second and third acts. Guests will be
seated around round tables set for a wedding party.
A silent auction will take place throughout the evening, with donated items and
services offered to the highest bidder. Proceeds will support Tannery Pond
Center’s operations and mission.
How about a few hints to get curious minds going?
The characters in the play, written by George DeChant, come together for the
wedding of Tiffany Tanner and Robert Pond (no joke!). A member of the wedding
party gets murdered. Then guests will have the opportunity to question any likely
suspects and help solve the crime.
What is the reward for the audience’s sleuthing work at the end? Dessert of a
wedding cake and chocolate foundation will be served and all are encouraged to join
in dancing into the evening, with tunes supplied by a professional DJ.
“We did a similar themed murder mystery with GEM seven years ago and it was
so enthusiastically received, we wanted to do it again,” said Donna Welch, chair of

TPC’s fundraising efforts. “This isn’t just a play –- people get super engaged. The
food is delicious and there’s time for people to visit with one another.”

Tannery Pond.
