The Town of Johnsburg invites families to take part in the 5th Annual Kids Fishing Derby, a fun and free community event for children ages 15 and under.

Join us for a morning of fishing along the shore, followed by lunch, prizes, and a chance to connect with local organizations and fellow families.

Event Details:

Date: April 25, 2026
Time: 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Location: Dr. Jacques Grunblatt Beach at the North Creek Ski Bowl

This event will be shore fishing only. An informational meeting will take place prior to the start of the derby at 8:45 AM.

Pre-registration is encouraged by April 21 to be eligible for a special prize. To pre-register, please email the child’s name, age, and town to JohnsburgFishandGameClub@gmail.com. Walk-ins are welcome, and participants do not need to reside in the Town of Johnsburg.

Prizes and gift certificates will be awarded, and lunch will be provided following the event. A Cornell Cooperative Extension / 4-H representative will also be present.

Please note that a parent or guardian must be present with children at all times.
