Discover the fascinating world of bats during a free evening of science, stories, and surprising discoveries at Bandstand Brew Works!

Join Maria Brown, MS, on Wednesday, October 21, from 7–8 p.m. in the BSBW Beer Hall for an engaging exploration of New York’s bats, along with adventures from her bat research around the world. Learn how bats help keep ecosystems healthy, separate bat myths from facts, and see photos and video from Maria’s fieldwork in the Peruvian Amazon jungle.

Maria is a former restoration ecologist, wetland scientist, science educator, and adjunct faculty member at Stony Brook University. Her bat field projects span five continents, and she brings field stories, humor, and a lifelong love of nature to this interactive talk.

Come curious. You may leave seeing bats in a whole new light! Admission is free.
