Women in Business

Vision: Empowering and mentoring women of all ages.

Mission: To inspire personal growth using our combined experiences and expertise to provide the tools to aid and encourage women in our region through networking, educating and mentoring.

This dynamic group of forward-thinking women meet monthly with the goal of improving themselves, the business community and our Lake George Region.

To date, many organizations have benefited from a variety of gifts of time, talent and treasure from the participants of the Women in Business program including: Wiawaka Holiday House, Double H Ranch, North Country Ministries, Open Door Mission, Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) at Lake George High School, Women in Need (W.I.N.) and local food banks among others.

The program is held monthly on the first Wednesday (no meeting in July & August) at the Chamber office.

Come early for networking from 8-8:30 a.m.  The program begins at 8:30 a.m. and usually lasts an hour.

All women who are members of the Chamber are welcome to attend!

This month's program features the following speakers:

Liz Burtch, Sales Manager, Fort William Henry
Liz Grew up in the 1000 Islands and has worked in the hospitality industry in sales and operations for most of her career in the 1000 Islands, Lake Placid, Saratoga and Lake George. In her 20’s she moved to Lake Placid where she married, raised two children. She worked a brief sales stint in the wine and spirits industry and has lived in and around the region since 2004.

Jaki Rainsberger, Technology Consultant, Repeat Business
When not selling technology products and business efficiency tools, Jaki is a Brady Bunch mother of 7 originally from Lansing, MI now living in Chestertown. Jaki is a road warrior as so many of us North Country girls are! Working to customize office technology and print copy solutions for customers from the Southern Adirondacks to Clifton Park.

Both presenters will discuss the opportunities and challenges they encounter that continues to make them successful for themselves, their employers and their clients.
